photos that fill my ❤️ with joy
I was going to write about the modeling industry for my next Substack newsletter, but I just spent my entire workday writing and editing my paper and don’t have the mental capacity to write more. Instead, I’m going to share photos that fill my heart with joy with a light caption and/or story to them.
This photo was taken in Thailand of summer 2017. We just graduated undergrad at Michigan and wanted to do a fun trip together. I loved this day. It wasn’t too humid, there were barely any cars around, and we just rode around the streets.
My brother, Joonpyo, in my office back at my parent’s home. I love him.
Spring break of 2017? We went to Colorado and stayed at Jenny’s friend’s grandparent’s cabin in middle-of-no-where Colorado. I don’t know if I can talk about it here, but you know exactly what we did ;).
New Year of 2020 in Oregon. I’ve spent the last 7 New Years with my girlfriends and not having one this year was heartbreaking. I believe we are going to New Orleans on our next trip.
LMFAOOOOOOOOO
A beautiful sunrise a few days ago. Looks like the great white whale.
Taki from Your Name. Period. No explanation needed. My anime lover.
My parents and Joonpyo for New Year? My mom wants me to wear the hanbok she is wearing when I graduate in a few years. I think that hanbok is my grandmother’s. It is so pretty. I will be wearing it at my graduation. I’m scared I will get a stain on it.
A beautiful rice roll from Win Son. So delicious. I loved holding it.
Okay, this is a photo that doesn’t fill my heart with joy. I absolutely fucking hate this. This needs to stop.
Me all 2020 and 2021.
This was at the pottery studio I used to go to. This belongs in the Whitney.
Min Jin Lee and I. She is an American treasure. She was giving a talk at the NYPL and I couldn’t go because I wasn’t some insane donor. I messaged her on Twitter and she got me on the list to come to her talk. I recommend all her novels.
Fuck, I miss LA.
